Recording CPD (server callback)

In this example only the page title and URL are in the href attribute of the link without any of the user's personal details. Your local userId is also passed, and we use this to make a callback to your server along with a shared secret key that you can use to validate the request.

With the demo integration ID we just use a dummy callback. You can see the JSON data that we use to mock the response from the callback in the userdatacallback.json file. If you want to use this method then we will ask you for your callback URL when we set up your integration ID.

Just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with putting the user's personal details in the href attribute, so it's easier to use this simple method.
